when this guide drops, this will be one of the biggest bombshells in the history of gw
note, by bombshell I'm not implying good or bad, just the significance of it

I think really only torm weapons (and thereby armbraces and their subsidiaries) and minis will see a price change. All depending on whether they give extra worth to limited minis or not.
But of course...changing one part effects the whole outcome of the equation soooo who knows...

Nah I don't see price changes happening. I'm sure that people, including me, who wanted GW2 goodies have filled their HoM's alrdy or are still doing so. I don't see all these people who don't care for it making a run on the HoM items now.

I myself have been holding off on alot of hom stuff simply because I a) wasnt 100% sure I'd buy with the sorry state of ncsoft...however anet did a good job dealing with the hacking situation on their own and b)because I wasn't sure it would matter past having a full hall or whether some of these limited minis will count as just a mini or count as extra for being limited.

I very much doubt there will be a effect on the GW market as most of us who cared about our hall of monuments have already gotten it filled.
Also with the info that a purple first year will most likely give you the same points as a purple asain mini, then i highly doubt you will be getting mini's skyrocketting in price

from what I gathered when the HoM was first introduced was more like what they are saying....A FULL monument---doesnt matter if its all white minis or all the uber rare only the exceptional rich can afford = the same amount of 'points'. Makes the most sense.
Just make sure to have the 20 minis, 5 armors et. al. and you will be fine (now the gwamm, that one I dont know about).
so finish it up with whatever-----

Jesh people are acting like the point system is spending and not when you reach a certain number it unlocks set rewards and the highest reward may require the points from limited edition mini pets.

Remember it is the players that made said minis so pricy not Anet. I highly doubt any benefit of one mini over another. i.e. the guy with the mini Imp gets same deal as guy with mini Kanaxi.

My bet would be on registration than display.

Indeed, they did however make them harder to obtain. Value has nothing to do with it...what does is if it is still obtainable from sources other then trading other people. I.E. Celestial minis will technically be obtainable in a few years...but thats irrelevant to this topic as the servers will most likely be shut down by then.
They new only releasing a few kanaxai's would make them one of the most valuable items in the game. Just like although I consider the cele mini's to be common. They are worth more then many regular mini's because they can't be obtained outside of trading.

What's the deal with GWAMM anyway? You can't display it and it's bound to a character and not your account.
Let's say I get a hold of 30 titles on a char, display them, and then for some bizare reason delete my char.
All my titles will still be displayed and unlocked so give me points in the new point system. It doesn't matter if I have GWAMM or not, it's just for the shiny statue.
Besides, as a side note, lots of titles can be displayed without being maxed: lucky, unlucky, kurzick, zaishen ect.
They are displayed, so unlocked and it doesn't matter if they are max or not.

The GWAMM title track has an effect on the statue (The Beacon of Light) in the wall of the hall of monuments. It is located above the The Monument of "Honor." The further up the track you are, the more it seems to be protruding from the wall.
Also a full hall of monuments equates to a rank of that track because it to brings the statue out by one notch so to speak.

I know, I got GWAMM myself. I just wanted to make clear that, in my opionion, it's false for some people to assume a link between having GWAMM and unlocking stuff in GW2.
For the simple reason that there is no way for GW2 to detect you have GWAMM, cause you can't display it.
That big statue is, such as GWAMM, character based and not account wide.
Besides it sounds fair that someone who has 15 titles on 2 different characters displayed should get the same things as someone with all 30 titles on 1 character.
Ah well we shall know soon enough

Most definitely, I'm pretty sure though as I think I read earlier in this thread, awards will be given points and you can spend x points on x rewards in the second game. Hell I won't be suprised if they just gave you a title in the second game that read:
MArcSinus

I wonder what the mechanism is for linking your GW1 account to GW2. I hope it doesn't turn into a total shitstorm like when we redeemed the bonus storage pain. I have no clue what my Anet login is anymore.
